Yulika Lovyn

Hello, my name is Yulika Lovyn and I’ve been an on-and-off web novelist since 2018. I have always been a storyteller–from playing dolls to roleplaying as a mage in grade school to now writing my own novels. All of my projects are reflections of myself and my interests, thoughtfully planned out and filled with symbolism. I share my personal experiences through characters who are versions of myself at different stages. My passion for storytelling grows more each day and I wish to share these stories to a community who resonates with them.

Heaven’s Gift to You, my main project since 2022, has been my life’s work but I’ve been working a lot more on a new project that I started a few months ago. “The Mask I Wear” is a psychological thriller that follows the story of Erika Kuroki, after she finds herself in a game of ‘Werewolf’. 20 villagers, 5 werewolves, 1 mysterious student. We all know how the game goes right? Find the werewolves before they kill all the villagers. But with every hour closer to death, will the students be able to trick the werewolves out of hiding? Or will blood stain the floors of Ivylane Institute?

I am a Greek/Polish-American writer living in Southeastern Massachusetts where I study Creative and Professional Writing at Southern New Hampshire University. I have been published over a dozen times in numerous online magazines, including Brave Voices Magazine, The Winnow, Yuzu Press, Londemere Lit, and Healthline Zine, and have written over ten books. When not writing, I can be found cooking, gardening, or on the hunt for collecting trinkets.

I am currently querying, LILAC CREST a CARMILLA retelling, centering witch heiress, Marsha Braun, who must save her ancestor’s ghosts from a vengeful immortality seeking cult, uncover family secrets, hide a disturbing necromantic power manifesting within her witchcraft, and avoid falling for the enigmatic night gardener whose family’s past is intertwined with her own.

I have just finished writing, ANOTHER DAUGHTER OF A FALLSN KINGDOM, a story about a Polish-inspired subarctic kingdom recently freed from an oppressive empire and their struggles to regain complete control over itself after years of rebellion and war. Peasant girl with royal ancestry, Anka Antonik is taken to marry newly crowned king Cezary Zborowski as they face a brewing coup within the court, a war over disputed borders, and the threat of the returning empire. Uncovering a forgotten magic system and facing dissension, Anka and Cezary are faced with lying down their lives for the freedom of their home country.

And my most recent book
takes places on a chain of Greek-inspired islands, Iro Zikos is granted the gold touch from Ellrekkas’ dying gods, as the king of the largest island dies—leaving a power vacuum and five families to fill it, while the end of their empire descends.
