Seasonal Issues
Our seasonal issues are a special celebration of the changing tides of time, culture, and creativity. Released four times a year, these issues capture the essence of each season—whether it’s the blossoming of spring, the warmth of summer, the coziness of fall, or the quiet reflections of winter. Contributors are invited to explore themes that resonate with the season, resulting in a rich, diverse collection of works.

How it Works:
Submissions Open: At the start of each season (specific dates will be announced in advance).
Submissions Close: Mid-season.
Seasonal Issue Release: At the end of the season.

Our Seasonal Issues provide an wide stage for poetry, fiction, essays, photography, and art that reflect the mood, symbolism, and spirit of the season. These collections highlight unique perspectives, offering both established and emerging voices the opportunity to engage in thoughtful, seasonal storytelling. Whether you're inspired by the changing world around you or reflecting on personal transitions, our seasonal issues invite you to express your creativity with the season’s theme in mind.
I love you, Sappho & Melpomene

yes.

Darpan magazine would like to announce our second major collaboration with the lovely people at whiterosemuses , i love you, sappho & melpomene . an issue exploring the world around us all regarding sexuality and gender identity. in this issue, we are excited to explore the lgbtq+ community and what our writers and artists have to say about it. we are so excited for the lead-up of the magazine - interviews are coming, playlists are being made, we may drop a book review or two in the process, and excitement is brewing - its quite literally a femininomenon!
